God's Word is soooooo good! Well, of course it is, He is good! :o)
I've been rather nervous about the pressing times we are in, but God is encouraging me so much. I am so thankful that we have reason to hope! The worse things get the more we will see Him move. God's been showing me that it is in times of trouble that I draw closest to Him. I wish this was always the case in every situation, but it's natural to cling to God when everything is not going our way, and it's easy for our flesh to forget God when everything is going smoothly. So I thank God for stressful times, it brings me further into His presence, and that is worth any amount of trouble!
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see the works of the LORD,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear,
he burns the shields [b] with fire.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.

psalms. are you not grateful that God saw fit to put those honest examples of how to walk through life admitting to all of it's rough spots and sorrow YET not charging God with wrong or deserting Him?
i am.
that was one really long paragraph that could've been 5 words and said the same thing.
ohwell.
thanksgiving? good?
oh yes, the psalms are wonderful for bringing the hard reality of life in line with God's wonderful goodness, I certainly need them as constant reminders!
Thanksginving was great, I was sick the day before but thankfully I had a healty (well, more like a unhealthy) portion of Thanksgiving dinner and didn't puke it up :). Yours?
